About the Role
Barnardo's is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Childcare Worker to join our team. As a Senior Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Childcare Workers in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-4 years.
- Develop and implement effective programs to support children's learning and development, including language skills, physical development, and social and emotional development.
- Work closely with parents and external agencies to provide family support and promote early relationships between parents and children.
- Conduct home visits and provide support to families with children who have additional needs.
- Supervise and mentor Childcare Workers to ensure they meet minimum standards and follow policies and procedures.
- Ensure the setting is registered with Early Years and meets minimum standards.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or equivalent.
- Relevant experience of working with 0-4 year olds.
- Excellent communication and observation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Access to transport to enable you to fulfill the requirements of the post.
