Job Description: As a School Facilities Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security, upkeep, and maintenance of our school premises. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Premises Manager with various tasks, such as building and grounds maintenance, cleanliness, porterage, and overseeing external contractors.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the school buildings and site, including effecting minor repairs and improvements, general maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with required standards.
  • Ensure the buildings and site are left in a secure situation when directed to open and lock-up the school site.
  • Undertake repairs and DIY projects within budgetary constraints set by the Premise Manager.
  • Operate and maintain site security systems, including opening and closing the building at the beginning and end of the school day and responding to emergency call-outs as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Basic training or sound experience of general maintenance and DIY.
  • Awareness of strict hygiene and cleaning standards.
  • Understanding of the need for pupil and staff safety.
