Job Title: Intensive Care Physician

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Physician to join our team in Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality intensive care during inter-hospital transfers of critically ill patients.

The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, deploying in dedicated critical care transfer vehicles and equipment. You will work alongside a support worker and a retrieval and transfer practitioner to provide emergency anaesthesia, ventilation, and invasive monitoring to critically unwell patients.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the development of a national Critical Care Transfer Service for Wales. The service aims to provide high-quality intensive care during the inter-hospital transfer of critically ill patients.

The ideal candidate will have significant demonstrable experience in transfer care settings, aligned to the personal specification. They will also have completed relevant life support, resuscitation, and trauma courses.

Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with license to practice and up to date appraisal/revalidation
  • ST4 or equivalent experience
  • Holds FRCA or FFICM
  • Competence in management of acute illness and injury in adults
  • Sound judgement and decision making
Estimated Salary:

£100,000 - £120,000 per annum
