Project and Technical Engineer Job Description

GMP Recruitment Ltd is proud to partner with a leading organisation in the process plant and equipment industry. We are seeking an experienced Project and Technical Engineer to join their Kidderminster site.

Job Summary

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary up to £50,000 plus excellent company benefits and great career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and control orders received from customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  2. Administer site project work areas, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  3. Act on verbal or written instructions from the Operations department, ensuring seamless order processing and labour allocation.
  4. Design and engineer contracts, preparing detailed specifications for manufacture and installation.
  5. Conduct site visits, collecting information and specifications to inform project decisions.
  6. Produce Method Statements and risk assessments for project-related activities.
  7. Utilise CAD software to design and produce information for manufacturing purposes.
  8. Assist in specifying the latest design technology to meet company design obligations.
  9. Implement contract management policies to achieve and exceed Gross Margin Profit targets.
  10. Adhere to Quality procedures for in-process and on-site manufacture.
Requirements
  1. Proven project and technical experience in material handling, industrial construction, or similar site engineering.
  2. Strong mechanical understanding and manufacturing industry knowledge, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
