About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at HMP Guys Marsh. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders and working closely with the Primary Care team, Substance Misuse team, and Prison staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders, including referral management, screening assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions
  • Deliver a range of specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level, including care planning and risk assessing, one-to-one and group-work facilitation
  • Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, including people struggling with severe enduring mental illness, personality difficulties, and neurodevelopmental problems
Requirements
  • NMC Registration
  • Degree supplemented by diploma, specialist training
  • Minimum of 2 years' post qualification as an RMN
  • Extensive clinical experience
  • Supervisory experience of junior staff and students
