Mechanic for Climate Control Systems

About the Job:
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our team at RAF Lakenheath. As an HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying complex heating boilers, power boilers, domestic heating units, and system equipment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of critical systems in various facilities, including warehouses, shops, hangars, hospitals, and office buildings.
Main Responsibilities:
Plan, install, troubleshoot, resolve issues, and modify systemsUse hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devicesRead and follow technical instructionsWork 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with possible shift work or emergency call-outsRequirements:
To succeed as an HVAC Mechanic, you should possess relevant qualifications based on skill level:
- Entry Level: GCSE (Math, English & Science Grades 9-4 A*-C) or BTEC level 2;
- Intermediate Level: City & Guilds 6188-20/6188-21/6188-22/6288-21;
- Advanced Level: City & Guilds 6188-30/6188-31/6188-32/6288-31;
- Fully Qualified Level: City & Guilds 6188-30/6188-31/6188-32/6288-31 plus related experience.
