Job Overview: Gov Facility Services Ltd provides critical services to HMPPS, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of prisons. As a Mechanical Engineer - Plumber, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality maintenance services.
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Norwich. You will be responsible for maintaining commercial and industrial heating and water systems, adhering to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high-quality services, possess excellent organisational and time management skills, and be committed to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining commercial and industrial heating and water systems
- Ensuring compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Working on shift patterns Monday to Sunday
- Collaborating with colleagues from various trades
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Two years' experience working as a plumber or equivalent
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
