We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in a specialist school for children and young adults with complex and severe special educational needs. About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring 40 hours of work per week, term time only. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a small class of students, designing and delivering teaching sessions that promote learning, progression, and social-emotional development. You will also contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures, participate in training events, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Leading a small class of students and promoting social-emotional development
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress
- Participating in departmental meetings, training events, and whole-school initiatives
Requirements
- Teaching Qualification (QTS or QTLS)
- Relevant SEN teaching experience and knowledge of the current national curriculum
