Job Description:

The successful applicant will be a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, responsible for leading the multi-disciplinary team in the Eating Disorder outpatient team at the Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders (MCCAED).

This is a full-time replacement Consultant post within the National & Specialist CAMHS, based in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivering high-quality and safe care with the Clinical Director, Lead Clinician N&S CAMHS, and Joint Heads MCCAED.
  • Lead the development of service evaluation measures with the Clinical Director, Lead Clinician N&S CAMHS, and Joint Heads MCCAED.
  • Develop and review clinical measures and outcomes with the Joint Heads MCCAED and the Clinical Lead N&S CAMHS.
  • Support and lead elements of development, improvement, and innovation.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
  • Evidence of inclusion in the Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT in C&A psychiatry or Equivalent training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Section 12 approved.
  • Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
