Theatre Practitioner Scrub Nurse Role

We are seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner Scrub Nurse to join our team in Gynaecology, Urology, and Robotics. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures
  • Ensure the correct labelling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory
  • Control cross-infection by maintaining a clean working environment and adhering to departmental policies
  • Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery
  • Provide assistance in clinical/operative procedures, both anaesthetics and surgery
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate peri-operative patient care
  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified, and less experienced staff

Requirements
  • 1st level registration Adult and/or Children or Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies/ODP Level 3 NVQ/ODA 752
  • NMC or HCPC registered
  • Previous perioperative experience in Laparoscopic, Gynae, Urology, General, Plastics, or Kidney Transplant
