Job Summary

VINCI Facilities is seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to represent Kent Police as a first point of contact for members of the public. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, administer property, and maintain the security, safety, and tidiness of the station reception office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Kent Police as a first point of contact, providing information, dealing with enquiries, and offering advice and guidance.
  • Operate Police computer systems according to Service guidelines.
  • Receive and administer property, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Maintain the security, safety, and tidiness of the station reception office, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Work a 30-hour week on a 7-day shift rota, with the possibility of further hours when available.
  • Report to the Public Enquiry Officer Team Leader.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • A good standard of education to GCSE A-C level (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics, or experience to this standard.
  • Diligent customer service attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to learn Police systems.
  • Subject to vetting by Kent Police.
