We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Drama Graduate to join our team as a Cover Supervisor for secondary schools in Oldham.

This role offers a unique chance to develop your teaching skills, with potential pathways into teacher training and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Drama lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students engage with pre-set tasks.
  • Managing classroom behaviour, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting students with practical and theoretical Drama work, supporting their creative development.
  • Collaborating with the Drama department to maintain lesson continuity and student progress.
  • Encouraging creativity, self-expression, and teamwork through Drama activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A recent Drama graduate or a graduate with a related arts degree.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Confident in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Passionate about Drama and eager to make a positive impact on students' education.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
