Project Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of equipment for the electrical power and distribution industry, is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the management of site works, ensuring that projects are completed within the agreed contract period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in the management of site works, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that the company's Health and Safety and Environmental policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Programme work to ensure that labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors are available when required.
  • Maintain project files, including weekly diaries, method statements, delivery tickets, and work sheets.
  • Continually seek to improve all aspects of quality and service.
  • Make the most efficient use of resources available for plant and materials.
  • Liaise with internal staff, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Occasionally travel to sites, clients, subcontractors, or suppliers, which may require staying away overnight.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to HNC or degree level in an engineering subject.
  • Some experience of working in a project engineering environment.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
  • Able to utilise MS Office suite essential.
