We are seeking an experienced and skilled Night Nurse Manager to join our team at Active Care Group. As a Night Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital at night, providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the nursing team at night, ensuring that staffing levels are adequate and that all wards are staffed equally.
- Monitor the standards of care provided and ensure that all colleagues adhere to our policies and procedures.
- Take on the role of Night Nurse Manager during the night shift, supporting other wards with their breaks and providing effective leadership.
- Manage referrals out of hours, liaising with on-call managers, medics, and arranging admissions.
- Prepare a Night Report, detailing actual staffing numbers, young people on enhanced support, incidents that have occurred, and planned interventions that have been missed.
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse with 2 years plus post-registration experience and active NMC registration.
- Knowledge of NMC standards and guidelines, requests, and professional practices.
- Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
- Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
- Good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
- Ability to undertake physical requirements of PRICE training.
- Responsive and flexible.
- Experience in duty nurse role or equivalent.
- 25 days plus bank holidays.
