Job Opportunity: 1:1 Math Tutor

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Specialist to join our team as a 1:1 Math Tutor at our school in Barnsley.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized math tutoring to students in Year 6 transitioning to Year 7, as well as assisting Year 10 and Year 11 students in preparing for their GCSEs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate student's current math level and focus on areas of need.
  • Develop tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student learning and progress.
  • Create a positive and motivating learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent tutoring qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in math, with the ability to teach across different levels.
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed.
