About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Pharmacy Technician to join our team based in Exeter. As part of the South West Prison Healthcare contract awarded to Oxleas NHS Trust in 2022, we have the opportunity to expand our recruitment and provide effective care to improve wellbeing and support better outcomes for those in prison.

The healthcare team at Oxleas pride themselves on using skills and strategies that instil hope for patients' future resettlement back into the community. Our integrated healthcare delivery model provides comprehensive care, including Mental Health, Physical Health, Pharmacy, and Clinical Substance Misuse services.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of Pharmacy Services, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package with direct patient contact, based on the prison service's needs.

NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent, Registration with GPhC as a pharmacy technician, and Excellent organisational skills are required. Working towards Accredited Checking or MM Technician Certificate, and some understanding of mental illness and substance misuse and their treatment are desirable.
