About the Role

The Service Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the service(s) in accordance with Leonard Cheshire's vision, mission, policies, and procedures. This includes holding and maintaining the appropriate registration, managing resources, and ensuring exemplary customer service while maintaining budgetary compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the service(s) and ensure the highest standards of personal and clinical support and service delivery.
  • Monitor, maintain, and provide the highest standards of personal and clinical support and service delivery while promoting independence and choice to customers.
  • Line manage Team Leaders within each service and be accountable for all staff working in the service(s).
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Director Scotland, Operations Managers, and the wider team to continue to develop the care provision within Leonard Cheshire services in Scotland.
Requirements
  • Recognised social care qualification and registration (as appropriate to the needs of the respective Service).
  • SVQ Level 4 qualification in health and social care or currently working towards or prepared to work towards this.
  • Significant experience of operating in a supervisory or management capacity in a care environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to manage budgets, understand and analyse spreadsheets, and make effective decisions to drive efficiencies at service level.
