About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Care Companion. As a key member of our domiciliary care service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care services to individuals in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, ensuring the dignity and comfort of service users at all times.
- Mobility Support: Help service users with transferring from bed to chair, walking, and other mobility-related tasks.
- Meal Preparation and Feeding: Assist with preparing meals and feeding service users, taking into account any dietary requirements or restrictions.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and monitor medication schedules to ensure timely and accurate dispensing.
- Light Household Duties: Assist with light household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Companionship and Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to service users, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including any changes in the patient's condition or behavior.
- Care Planning: Follow tailored care plans that meet the specific needs and preferences of each service user.
- Independence Promotion: Encourage service users to carry out tasks on their own when possible, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all care practices comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
- Experience: Previous experience in domiciliary or home care is preferred but not required.
- Personality Traits: Compassionate, caring, and empathetic nature with a passion for helping others.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- Transportation: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential.
- DBS Check: A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
- Qualifications: A relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care) is desirable but not essential.
- Training: Training in manual handling and safeguarding adults will be provided.
- Flexible Working Hours: Flexible working hours and shift patterns will be available.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
