Care Companion Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to provide dedicated support for a lady with progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This is a live-in position that involves providing daily care and assistance with activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and experienced in providing care for individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Support mobility and transfers, as needed.
  • Administer medication and manage health care routines as prescribed.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Engage in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
  • Monitor and document changes in health and behavior reporting to healthcare professionals as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in live-in care or caregiving, especially for individuals with MS or similar conditions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care, first aid training) are preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
