Job Description:

The role of Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out & Refurbishment involves:

  • Managing fit out and refurbishment projects for various industries such as leisure, retail, healthcare, hotels, offices, pubs & restaurants
  • Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
  • Negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Producing formal quotations to customers
  • Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
  • Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
  • Contacting customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Working on projects ranging in value from £250k to circa £3m

Requirements:

  • Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the construction market sector
  • Ideally will have experience within fit out, design & build, joinery or main contracting
  • Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Good team player who also works well individually
