The Role

As a Cook in one of our schools, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering a healthy, nutritious, and fun menu for students and staff. You will focus on delivering the highest quality of food and service, with flair, originality, and the ability to make our catering offer stand out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare menus using provided recipes
  • Ensure Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health and Safety compliance
  • Produce hospitality services as per client requests
  • Supervise a team
  • Build relationships with clients and customers
  • Provide a friendly and polite customer service experience
About You

We are seeking someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of education catering, using fresh ingredients, and excellent craft skills
  • Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training available)
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Computer literacy with experience of using different systems
  • Self-motivation, ability to use initiative, desire to learn, and motivate others

  • 25 hours per week, with no late nights
  • Working 38 weeks per year, based around term time
  • £13 per hour
