About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Assistant. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and making recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, facing merchandise, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals, and provide support to other team members as needed.
  • Merchandising: Expertly merchandise and maintain our middle aisles of Non-Food products, including setting up displays and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
  • Bakery Operations: Proactively keep the bakery topped up by baking fresh goods and maintaining a clean and organized bakery area.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to start a shift early or finish late, and to work a variety of schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Positive Attitude: A positive approach to changing priorities, and a drive and passion to work hard and make your store a success.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: A competitive hourly pay rate based on equal opportunity and pay structures, with an additional £2.00 per hour for bank holidays and £3.50 per hour for nights.
