Job Title: Aircraft Structural Inspector

Morson Talent is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Inspector to join our team at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose:
  • Manage structural repair and manpower to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Hold authorizations to the minimum level required by WMS, including third signature within own trade group as detailed in OP 1103.
  • Maintain technical currency and authorization through training programs and disseminated information.
  • Provide technical guidance on aircraft structural repairs and provide expertise where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out aircraft structural repairs in accordance with published procedures and instructions.
  • Provide technical guidance on repair instructions and ensure compliance with WMS OP 408 and 100A series of publications.
  • Conduct damage surveys as directed and ensure overall management and control of support activities within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure tasking unit has all spares and tooling requirements prior to tasking and observe authorized tool control procedures.
  • Be responsible for the general welfare and safety of all personnel during duty time on tasking and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
Requirements:
  • Must have served an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or Service equivalent Trade Training.
  • Have served or operated as a Lead Repair engineer within a repair organization and included composite repair activity.
  • Meet the minimum criteria as specified in WMS OP 1103.
  • Have a full understanding of all aspects of Military aircraft engineering and documentation.
  • Have a full understanding of Military aircraft operation in base and field locations.
  • Be current and competent in the use of GOLDesp.
