About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital and Product Support Specialist to join our team at Saab UK. As a key member of our product support team, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our global customer base, focusing on electrical, electronic, and robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Technical Support to our customers through various channels, including remote connections, offshore visits, and in-person support.
  2. Develop Expertise in our bespoke hardware and software robotics architecture to deliver high-quality customer support.
  3. Perform Fault Finding and Repairs of electro-mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  4. Support Internal Stakeholders by providing technical assistance to our aftersales team.
  5. Contribute to Product Development by inputting into the development of product support systems and tools.
  6. Collaborate with Training Team to update training material, manuals, and knowledge base.
  7. Assist with Customer and Staff Training to ensure a high level of knowledge is gained regarding our products.
  8. Travel Internationally to customer premises and offshore locations to provide technical support.
  9. Maintain IT Systems and adhere to health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  1. Experience in Customer Support and a sound engineering background in electrical and electronics, software, and computer systems.
  2. Practical Skills in electrical and mechanical systems, digital electronics, and networking principles (Ethernet and fibre optics).
  3. Ability to Travel to remote offshore locations, with offshore training provided if necessary.
