About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Support Engineer - Electrical Systems to join our team. As a key member of our product support team, you will provide front-line technical support to our global customer base, focusing on electrical, electronic, and robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers via email, phone, remote connections, and in-person offshore visits.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our bespoke hardware and software robotics architecture to enable high-quality customer support.
  • Carry out hands-on fault finding and repairs of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the aftersales team, to ensure seamless support.
  • Contribute to the development of product support systems and tools.
  • Work with the training team to update training material, manuals, and knowledge base.
  • Assist with training customers and staff to ensure a high level of knowledge about Saab Seaeye products.
  • Travel internationally to customer premises and offshore locations to provide technical support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with customers and customer support.
  • Sound engineering background in electrical and electronics, as well as software and computer systems.
  • Electrical and mechanical practical skills.
  • Digital electronics knowledge; knowledge of networking principles desirable (Ethernet and fibre optics).
  • Ability to travel when necessary, potentially at short notice, including to remote offshore locations.
