Job Details

**Job Role:**
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to support a child with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in our Key Stage 2 department. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

**Visa Sponsorship:**
Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor visas for this position.

**Key Stage:**
Key Stage 2

**Working Pattern:**
Part-time: The first post will be for the successful candidate to work alongside a Year 4 child for 25 hours a week. The second post will be for someone to work with a Year 6 child. The initial hours will be 15 hours per week (8:30-11:30am, 5 days a week). We hope that will quickly build to 25 hours but that depends on the successful integration of the child into full-time education.

**Contract Type:**
Fixed-term - Temporary, whilst the child requires support

**Pay Scale:**
Grade 3 point 6

**Requirements:**
We are looking for individuals with:
1. Experience and understanding of working with children with SEMH needs.
2. An empathetic nature, positive outlook, and the ability to set clear and firm boundaries.
3. Understanding and patience.
4. The ability to be flexible and 'think on your feet.'
5. Good written and communication skills.
6. NVQ 3 or above.
