Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 11-16 in secondary schools, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a professional rapport with students and provide individualized support to meet their needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities, and provide feedback to students as needed.
  • Support students with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being while following the school's curriculum.
  • Offer guidance and feedback to students under the direction of the class teacher.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent are essential.
  • A-levels, Degree, or Master's degree are desirable.
  • Experience working with children outside of school or with vulnerable adults is preferred.
  • The role is also suitable for university students who are currently studying.

Working with GSL Education:

  • Work with experienced consultants who will find you suitable and regular work.
  • Competitive daily rates via PAYE or umbrella company.
  • Opportunities to work in secondary and SEN schools in Boston and Lincoln.
  • We also offer work in primary schools.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including a relevant enhanced DBS.
