Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Technical Reliability Specialist to join our team at Optos, a pioneering company in retinal imaging technology. The ideal candidate will have experience in reliability engineering, test development, or validation, preferably in the medical device or automotive industry.


About the Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive reliability test plans, identifying critical reliability metrics, and defining accelerated life testing protocols. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop comprehensive reliability test plans for complex ophthalmic systems
  • Identify critical reliability metrics and define accelerated life testing protocols
  • Conduct FMEA, HALT/HASS tests, and reliability demonstration tests
  • Analyse data to inform decision-making and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design improvements and implement ESS techniques

Requirements and Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have:



  • At least 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, test development, or validation
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Optical Engineering, or related field
  • A strong background in reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools (HALT/HASS, ALT, RDT, ESS, Weibull)
  • Strong analytical, systematic, and proactive skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer
