Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Job Summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Women's Outpatients Department at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our staff. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work alongside experienced staff to provide excellent care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

Assist qualified nurses in providing high-quality patient care.

Contribute to the work of the department by working under direct supervision in specialist clinics and indirect supervision for gynaecology clinics.

Prepare notes for clinics and return after clinic.

Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.

When trained and deemed competent, undertake clinical activities using appropriate equipment, ECGs, Venepuncture, processing histology samples.

Contribute to housekeeping duties for the department, ordering stock, putting stock away, cleaning duties, topping up, and general tidiness.
