Practical Skills Trainer

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesperson to support the delivery of practical skills in our Construction and Building Services Department. This role involves assisting Lecturers and students in the hands-on delivery of wet trade skills, including plastering, tiling, and bricklaying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for practical sessions in wet trade areas.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities in a clean and safe condition.
- Manage inventory of materials and tools, ordering supplies as necessary to support course requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to students during practical sessions.
Carlisle College is a further education college serving the post-16 education and training needs of Carlisle and the surrounding area. We work closely with local businesses and industry to meet skills and development needs via our Apprenticeship programmes.
Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
