Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider, and we are currently seeking an experienced Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team. This role will be based at one of our 10 hospitals across Manchester, Trafford, and beyond.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with recent experience in a catheter laboratory setting. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team. As a Cardiac Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, teaching, and supporting professional colleagues.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for career development, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake nurse-led admission and discharge of patients attending the cardiac day lounge
  • Monitor and improve standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, teaching, and supporting professional colleagues

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse with relevant experience at Band 5
  • Leading a team and working autonomously
  • Broad recent Catheter Lab experience
