The Apprenticeship Program

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our comprehensive Multi-Skilled Engineering Apprenticeship program. This structured program provides you with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practical skills, preparing you for a rewarding career in the field.

Year 1: Academic Foundation

Your initial year will be dedicated to intensive classroom learning at Gloucestershire Engineering Training College (GET). You'll gain a broad understanding of engineering concepts, earn an NVQ Level 2 qualification, and complete a Technical Certificate Year 1.

Years 2-4: On-the-Job Experience and Specialization

In the subsequent years, you'll transition to on-site training at our INVISTA Gloucester facility. You'll work alongside experienced Technicians and Engineers, applying your knowledge in real-world settings. This hands-on experience will be complemented by continued learning at GET, focusing on Mechatronics Maintenance and a Technical Certificate (Year 2).

Career Advancement Opportunities

The program offers the potential to further your education by pursuing a Higher National Certificate in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

What We Look For

  • Five GCSEs (grades A-C or 9-5) including Maths, English, and Science.
  • A demonstrated interest in engineering through coursework or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivation, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
  • A desire to pursue a career in Electrical/Mechanical maintenance.
