About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Classification Assistant Team Manager to join our dynamic Customs & Import team at Lidl in Deutschland. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and compliance of Lidl's customs activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective classification of goods and compliance with import controls.
  • Oversee the customs classification process, ensuring adherence to regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Advise on customs classification procedures and provide training to team members.
  • Analyse customs classification data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in customs classification, including HS codes and import controls.
  • Ability to identify applicable legislation and implement changes as required.
  • Level 4+ Diploma in International Trade or equivalent customs and trade certifications.
  • Excellent leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and ability to build dashboards.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
