We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work across both the Older People's Mental Health (OPMH) organic inpatient service and the functional mental health inpatient service, providing psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions to older adults and their carers.
Main Responsibilities- Provide psychological assessment and formulation to older adults and their carers
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to address mental health difficulties
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Offer consultation and advice to other mental health professionals
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a new psychological service to OPMH organic inpatients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and develop their skills in neuropsychology, clinical psychometrics, and lifespan developmental psychology.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or Counselling Psychology (DCounsPsy) and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They will also have experience of working with older adults and their carers, and be familiar with the Comprehend Cope and Connect trans-diagnostic approach.
