Art Education Position

Austin Fraser is looking for an experienced Art Teacher to deliver high-quality education and foster a supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in delivering a curriculum accessible to diverse pupil groups.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £48,000 - £68,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching:
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to cater to diverse pupil needs.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to create high-quality resources and contribute to the department's resource pool.
    • Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
    • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and assess their understanding through varied evaluation methods.
  • Learning:
    • Establish strong relationships with pupils, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Promote active participation and engagement among pupils through various learning strategies.
    • Contribute to school-wide initiatives to improve pupil outcomes and enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Assessment and Feedback:
    • Design and implement comprehensive assessment strategies to evaluate pupil progress.
    • Provide timely, constructive feedback to pupils and maintain open communication with parents.
  • Professional Development:
    • Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities within and beyond the school's formal programs.
    • Reflect on practice and use self-evaluation to inform professional growth.
  • Co-curricular Involvement:
    • Participate actively in the wider school community, including pastoral duties as a tutor.

Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in delivering a curriculum accessible to diverse pupil groups including more able, SEND, and EAL pupils.
