About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the timely and advantageous procurement of subcontracts and major materials on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with pre-contract and senior teams to agree packaging strategies and approach to external spend, continually reviewing and challenging in consideration of wider bulk efficiencies and changing market dynamics.
  • Develop and own procurement control schedules, leading weekly procurement meetings to coordinate with internal teams and ensure procurement activities are delivered against programme and budget.
  • Lead the full ITT process through to contract award, including pre-qualification, evaluation of best value, coordination of commercial and qualitative assessments, credit checks, negotiation of terms and conditions, production of recommendation papers, and securing relevant approvals.
  • Responsible for performance management of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring scores are captured and addressing good and poor performance appropriately, with input to wider trend analysis and improvements.
  • Act as a source of support and credible procurement expertise and market knowledge for pre-contract and delivery teams, coordinating with material and plant buyers and supporting wider Group procurement activities.
  • Be an advocate for the procurement function, assuring process compliance and seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Represent projects at specific meet the buyer and wider networking events, with client-facing interactions as required.
About You
  • Ideal candidates will be MCIPS qualified or working towards their CIPS qualifications.
  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in the Highways sector.
