Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a reputable all-boys SEMH school in Horsham. This is a rewarding role for individuals who can promote positive behaviour and provide support across a range of subjects and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with pupils to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Assist in various subjects and activities, offering tailored support to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that helps students with SEMH needs grow academically and personally.
  • Encourage and guide pupils in developing life skills and social skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is advantageous.
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate attitude is essential.
  • Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm) is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage positively with students are necessary.
