Teaching Assistant for Special Needs Students

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Hertford. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where each child can thrive.
Job Summary:
- Support students with SEN in both classroom and individual settings
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to the creation of a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement strategies to support students with SEN, including differentiation and scaffolding
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebration
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of student progress and any issues arising
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
Salary and Benefits:
£85-£95 per annum, depending on experience, plus opportunities for professional development and career progression in the Education and Training Sector
