Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and perform planned preventative maintenance tasks on all machinery used within the factory.
  • Perform repairs on equipment and machinery, including blade/cutter changes.
  • Work closely with the health and safety department to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Resolve mechanical breakdowns quickly and efficiently, with a focus on the safety and wellbeing of our people.
  • Provide engineering support to other production departments or site services as needed.

About the Role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of machinery and equipment, and to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our factory. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with CNC woodworking machinery is highly desirable.
  • HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven track record of being able to carry out minor maintenance work on a variety of machinery.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing plant, with a focus on planned preventative maintenance.
