Job Description

Company: Seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Embedded Software Engineer to work on the development and verification of Electrical Power Distribution Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and verification, with experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (DO-178C/SEAL) and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on software development and verification activities.
  • Lead the preparation of technical specifications and interfaces for Electrical Power Distribution Systems, including review and evaluation of legacy artefacts.
Software Development and Verification
  • Develop and verify software components for Electrical Power Distribution Systems, ensuring compliance with DO-178C/SEAL standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions that meet project requirements.
Integration and Testing
  • Provide technical support in hardware and software integration for Electrical Power Distribution Systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures for software components, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
Requirements Management
  • Develop and manage software requirements using DOORS, ensuring clear and concise documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review and evaluate software requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of software development and verification activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace software verification.
  • Skills
    • Strong background in software development and verification, with experience in DO-178C/SEAL.
    • Hands-on experience with communication protocols like CAN, RS485, SPI, I2C.
    • Experienced with tools such as Canalyser/bus-master, Raven, and FireSpy.
    • Proficient in C/C++ programming for embedded devices and knowledge of assembly language.
    • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python).
    • Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies.
