About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Applications Specialist to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Digital Division, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality digital services across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on designated areas of responsibility to support the Clinical Applications Team Leaders in ensuring system downtime is minimized and associated risks are mitigated.
  • Collaborate with digital teams and clinical users to implement and strategically develop electronic patient records and diagnostic systems within the Trust.
  • Ensure the Clinical Safety Management system is followed and all clinical risks are assessed in conjunction with the Clinical Safety Officer.
  • Take the lead on configuration and build optimization for new and existing clinical applications.
  • Work closely with the Test Lead to support the development of testing plans based on complex workflow and system configuration requirements.
Requirements
  • Must be able to demonstrate formal and informal communication ability, orally and in writing, when dealing with colleagues and other staff at all levels.
  • Highly motivated, hard-working, self-confident, robust, and resilient individual with drive and determination to deliver.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex information from various systems in a manner that is easily understood by a variety of users.
