Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Health and Safety Expert to lead our site safety efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team and contribute to the success of BAM Nuttall.

About the Role

This role will involve overseeing the implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols on site. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of site safety are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on health and safety matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and conduct audits to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety performance and provide reports as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver training programs on health and safety best practices.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety excellence throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in health and safety management in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with OHSAS 45001 standards and ability to apply them in practice.
