Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Visa Sponsorship: Visas cannot be sponsored.

Key Stage: Early years, Key stage 1, Key stage 2

Working Pattern: Part time: 23.75 hours a week, Mon-Friday, 8.30am - 1.15pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time Equivalent Salary: Grade 4, SCP, £23,115 - £23,893 FTE - (Pay Award Pending)

Requirements

Qualifications/Training:

  • Very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.
  • NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants (or demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience).
  • First aid training as appropriate recognised qualifications: equivalent to a minimum 5 A*- C grades at GCSE including English and Maths or equivalent Level 2 (NVQ) qualifications.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Experience of working with pupils with additional needs.
  • Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice.
  • Ability to relate to children and adults.
  • Understanding of areas of learning, e.g., SEN.
  • Effective use of ICT to support learning.
  • Use of other equipment technology.
  • Work constructively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 or recognised equivalent.
