Job Role: Maintenance Operative / Escort

Location: HMP Bullingdon

Salary: £24,513.46

Contract: Full Time / Perm

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison. As a Maintenance Operative / Escort, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the prison's facilities
  • Assist in the maintenance of the prison's infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
  • Provide escort services for prisoners and staff as required
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective operation of the prison

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a prison environment or a similar setting
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
