Job Title: Responsible Investment Specialist

Man Group's Responsible Investment (RI) team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Responsible Investment Specialist. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing our mission to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concepts into our investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an RI advisor and advocate to portfolio managers, clients, and consultants, providing expertise on ESG integration and sustainable investing.
  • Collaborate with portfolio teams to drive further ESG integration into their investment process, aligned with client goals.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to inform and shape product development and positioning.
  • Interact with clients, consultants, and prospects to explain our approaches to responsible investment, from regulatory frameworks to fund-specific RI/ESG integration.
  • Liaise with Sales staff to increase awareness of our RI strategies, refine product strategy, and drive growth in those assets, in line with client needs.
Requirements:
  • Passion for and expertise in RI, with significant multi-asset class investment experience.
  • Highly proficient in critical thinking and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong interest in environmental and social issues and how they relate to RI.
  • Interest and knowledge in financial markets more broadly.
  • Possess subject matter expertise in the RI field, including detailed understanding of key ESG themes and regulatory/reporting frameworks.
  • Team-oriented and able to navigate a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Technical skills to leverage low-code/no-code tools such as Excel, PowerBI, or JupyterHub.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, dynamic presentation skills, and proven project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Degree in Finance/Economics/Business (or similar); Masters, MBA, CFA preferred.
  • 5+ years investment experience with at least 3 years in responsible investing.
