Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales and Events Executive to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for handling event enquiries, assisting with administration, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing event enquiries for corporate events and social events.
  • Assist the Sales Manager & Director of Sales with administration such as proposals, event contracts, banquet event sheets, post event feedback enquiries, etc.
  • Liaise with other departments for information and maintain a good understanding of clients and their needs.
  • Handle all incoming telephone enquiries and provide initial suggestions on sales enquiries.
  • Update the group chart and prepare relevant reports.

Requirements

  • Strong planning skills, with the ability to look ahead and put strategies in place to support the plans.
  • A degree of knowledge of all market segments i.e., corporate, conference.
  • Exceptional communication, organisational and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, likes to be creative and has a passion for sales and hunting for new business.
  • A positive attitude and superb work ethic.
