Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Store Assistant to join our trading team. As a Store Assistant, you will be an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, providing excellent customer service and working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets, maintaining a high level of visual presentation and store standards.
  • Assist with maintaining store standards, including safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
  • Build relationships with local community members and Cancer Research UK colleagues, promoting our brand and values.
  • Support fundraising events and activities to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Take on keyholder responsibilities as required, with training provided.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or a similar industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Basic knowledge of fashion or retail industry, with an interest in staying up-to-date with trends and developments.
