Job Title: Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our team at TeacherActive. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils requiring additional support in Schools.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience working with disengaged pupils and those with SEN/ALN/Challenging Behaviour. You will be responsible for delivering core skills in English and Maths, as well as providing positive behaviour strategies and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver core skills in English and Maths to pupils requiring additional support
  • Provide positive behaviour strategies and emotional support to pupils
  • Work with pupils to develop their self-regulation skills and manage challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans
Requirements:
  • Experience working with disengaged pupils and those with SEN/ALN/Challenging Behaviour
  • Positive behaviour strategy knowledge and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions
  • Excellent written communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability with an empathetic and understanding nature
