Procurement Manager for Seafood

Join Princes Limited, a leading food and drink manufacturer, as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Head of Fish Procurement to lead our frozen fish procurement operations.
About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned procurement professional with a strong background in seafood procurement to manage our frozen fish purchasing requirements. As Head of Fish Procurement, you will be responsible for ensuring the procurement of high-quality frozen fish at the lowest cost for our Mauritian processing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of frozen fish procurement, including strategic purchasing decisions and raw material stock holdings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of frozen fish.
- Collaborate with the PTM management team to maximize the utilization of logistical operations and cold store provision.
- Support the achievement of company tuna sustainability goals and objectives, in line with ISSF commitments.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including government and NGO representatives, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Senior level procurement experience in the seafood industry.
- International supply chain and operations expertise.
- Thorough understanding of procurement processes and frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with key personnel in the PTM local management team.
- Degree-level qualification in a business-related subject.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP analytics & reporting.
- CIPS qualification at Associate/Member level.
