Senior Architect Position Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment is proud to represent a well-established RIBA Chartered Practice based in Huddersfield, seeking a Senior Architect to join their team of talented individuals.

This consultancy delivers a variety of projects of values up to £30M, from small to large scale refurbishments, retrofits, redesigns and conversions within the residential / high-rise residential sector. Their continued growth and increased workload mean they are looking for a Senior Architect to join their team, to apply their expertise, skills, and professionalism to a number of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Producing technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stage 2 to 6 on both new build and refurbishment residential schemes
  2. Production of 3D Revit models for use from concept design to construction issue information
  3. Running numerous jobs simultaneously, producing working drawings/specifications and checking/amending similar work drafted by others
  4. Production of planning, building control and construction issue drawings
  5. Attending client meetings
  6. Attending site and liaising with contractors, providing technical advice when required
Requirements
  1. Residential/Housing experience
  2. Experience of high-rise/refurbishments would be desirable
  3. Experience with Design & Build Contracts
  4. Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD
  5. Knowledge and experience in Revit desirable but not essential
  6. Proven experience in a Design Office
  7. Experience in Building and Planning regulations/procedures
  8. Good interpersonal, communication and written articulation skills
  9. A team leader with the determination to drive projects forward
  10. Personal presence and well-developed leadership skills to support and assist more junior members of the team
